It worked!

Even with all the events this weekend trying to destroy my weight loss program, it STILL WORKED!! I lost 5 pounds and 3/4" off my waist! WooHoo! I'm super excited and it can only get easier because this first week was hard and the cleanse day... wow that was tough but i made it! Sorry no pics for this post! lol Hopefully soon! I can show the new and improved! Stay tuned!

5 for 5!

What a busy busy weekend we had! Crazy times!!! We completed 5 out 5 events! lol
Schedule:
Friday night- Wedding (that I found out about on Monday, and no kids allowed...)
Sat- Ken has housewarming party middle of day and the races sat night!
Sun- 9am breakfast in with family from out of state, 11 am birthday party for my Niece 19 years old! WOW!

Event 1- Corina's Wedding
Ok, since our camera is kinda POS we didn't get many good pics... to prove that i think this is my favorite picture... lol

Event 2- House warming party for Ken's co worker
I stayed at home w/ Kassel... guess we weren't really invited.. oh well, SCRAP TIME!
Looks like Kaitlyn had a GREAT time tho! She had fun with all the kids and swimming! She snaked someones goggles I see! lol

You know I would have been freaking out if I was there for this... they were throwing the kids in the pool!


Event 3- Races at the National Orange Show
I have always loved races... as long as theres a variety of a few different things Im happy... Nascar not so much, all motor cross, not so much. I miss the Mickey Thompsons SO SO much! Bob, Kens brother works for Lucas Oil which sponsors ALOT of different races but the most local and kid friendly is the one at the Orange show. Kaitlyn has been asking about going back since last year!

This is right after a big crash because one driver kept bumping another and then on the turn flipped it! It was a great crash he got some major air! SO then after they got the injured driver out, the driver who bumped him came to make sure he was ok, and he Slugged him! Fight Fight Fight!!! They took it to the ground! lol It was great! Anyways it so happened that the driver who threw the punch was one of the Lucas Drivers... Oops! AND to make things worse.... He got Arrested for assault and can never come back to the orange show! LMAO, ahhh fun times! Yea were a bit red neck! lol

Event 4- Breakfast with Family
I didn't realise that people were going to be there from out of state... since I didn't know about it until last minute I had figured everyone found out about it last minute... guess not! But anyways I was so excited to see Tia Gloria and Juan that I asked if we could get together before they went back home, and breakfast was kinda the only option. So it got squeezed in before the birthday party!
It was SO nice to be able to chit chat with them and also their daughters Olga and Toni! Thanks ladies for meeting us for breakfast! Here's all of us in the hotel lobby before we all left!


Event 5- Alicia's 19th birthday get together.
Just us close family was there but it was nice to just hang out casually.

Ok, what a tiring weekend! We only had 1 meltdown per kid which was great considering how tired they were! I'm gonna go crash now and hopefully get my butt back in gear on my diet tomorrow since this weekend WRECKED IT! Oh well, I still did better than I normally would have! Ok, I know its late when I 'cut' a code for a picture and then lost it because I couldn't remember I never 'pasted' it! lol

STOP HOARDING!!

When I buy really awesome paper its SO hard for me to actually USE IT! I got the Shop Hop passport which gives you a list of all the SoCal scrap booking stores and you get a discount at each during the month of Aug and you can enter for prizes depending on how many stores you visit during that time. I only really go to one scrapbook store because i just don't know where they are so I jumped at this opportunity. I found this awesome paper that I had only seen online, I think its new?? So I got it, figuring I would just hoard it like all the other AWESOME paper I have! Then I decided I HAD to make myself use it! So I did one the other night and finished up the title tonight and did the other one tonight too! I'm so proud of myself for not hoarding it! I think they are both very cute, NOT my normal scrapbook pages but I'm pleased!

Ribbon Organization

Its been awhile since I did but wanted to share with you all. One of the ladies on my MB posted this idea for organizing your ribbons. The loose ribbons that arnt on the roll yet too long to toss. I had mine in bags before by color but never felt like diging thru the bag so never used the patterened ribbons much. I tried this out and I LOVE it! I got the shelf from a thrift store for like 2$ and the rings and the clips from Staples. Get a group of ribbons ad clip them with the big paper clips. then hook them on a big 2" ring! Then hang so you can see what you have! Im SO glad I tried this out!! Hope this helps someone out there!

Pickin' Berries!

I've been wanting to go up to Oak Glen and pick berries. I mentioned it to Ken yesterday and this morning we decided to go! It was such a great time! Not only got some OH SO YUMMY berries but it was just nice to do something different! Currently they have strawberries and raspberries for picking. I was most interested in the raspberries but Ken and Kaitlyn wanted to get some strawberries too.

We learned that Kassel LOVES Raspberries! He wouldn't stop eating them! He was picking them and eating them, then on the tractor back to the parking lot it was one after another after another! Crazy kid!

Kaitlyn made a friend in the tractor on the way back down too..

Thanks for looking! If you ever get a chance to go you should! It was only about an hour drive and it was such great fun! Different times of year they obviously have different things!

Retreat

Ok, I know I've talked alot about the retreat so I wont say how much fun it was (again!) I'll just share pictures...
Ok, first off Hootie (the stuffed Owl) is being passed around to all the kids on the message board I'm on. He arrived the day before the retreat and Kaitlyn was SO excited that he came but then really sad when I told her he had to go to the mountains with me. Since 6 of the people at the retreat were from the message board we needed some pictures with the mommies!

Belated Bday Party

We had a belated birthday party for my sister and brother in law. It was great getting the cousins together! We usually only get together at Christmas so it was so cool having alot of them here for this bbq and swimming! It was very low key just some BBQ tri tip and ribs and lots of swimming! I love this picture of Kaitlyn and my cousin Misty hanging out on the noodle.
